The Sandaya campsite, Le Plein Air des Chênes, lies close to the spectacular countryside and the sandy beaches of Languedoc-Roussillon in the South of France. This four-star campsite is located in a forested area just to the north of the historical city of Montpellier, in the commune of Clapiers.
Take a dip in the water park
At Camping Sandaya Le Plein Air des Chênes there is an excellent and eye-catching 1,200 m² leisure pool which ensures hours of fun for all ages, including teenagers. The aqua park has a number of Pools, including a pool where you can swim lengths, a toddlers' pool, massaging water jets, fantastic water flumes and sun loungers around the pools.
Get to know the French game pétanque
The entertainment team is constantly working to make sure everyone has a great time. There is a kid's-club and a variety of activities are arranged, such as sports competitions, aqua gym and fun treasure hunts. You can play a variety of sports on the sports fields, such as mini-golf, football, tennis and handball. You can play pétanque, the national sport of the local people, in the shade of the oak trees. There is also a great playground.

The beautiful sandy beaches of Languedoc-Roussillon are only around 20 minutes away from the campsite. You have an excellent choice of beaches: Pérols, Grau-du-Roi, Palavas-les-Flots, Sète, Cap d'Agde and la Grande-Motte. Camping Le Plein Air des Chênes is an excellent base from which to explore the surrounding area. You can discover the Roman era by visiting the amphitheatres (Nîmes!), aqueducts (Pont du Gard!) and the historical city of Arles (Vincent van Gogh!). Make sure you visit Montpellier with its attractive pedestrian area in the historic centre and the famous square, Place de la Comédie.
You can also take day trips by car to a variety of areas of natural beauty in the region such as the Hérault, the Camargue and the wine regions. You can also drive to visit the jewels of the Middle Ages such as Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert and Aigues-Mortes.
